Why hello there, Issei-kun.

Naoto, Naoto, Naoto. Naoto has always been supportive of him. She makes him feel like he's just as important as the rest of the heroic figures here. In turn, he does his best to keep her from feeling down on herself. She's a very, very good friend, and apparently he's her best friend - which kind of makes Issei raise an eyebrow, although he's been in love with his best friend for years, so he's kind of biased.

He thinks the Hakuba and Kanji kerfluffle, to be honest, is stupid. And this is coming from someone with at least four romantic interests. Once you're dating someone, you don't kiss someone else, and if you do you apologize immediately (see: OT3 virus aftermath). However, he understands Naoto's feelings and motivations, and doesn't want her to blame herself completely for Hakuba's breakdown. He sympathizes with all of them.

It says a lot that he's willing to call her by her first name: not only does it mean he'd die for her if the circumstances came up, it means he's thought about it and accepted it. Issei will always be loyal to her, no question about it.

Well, Issei is one of a small, elite group that Naoto refers to as her "best friends." VIP, exclusive access, baby!

Huuuuuur! Naoto really does need the support right now, especially since she's convinced half the comm is turned against her because, let's face it, Hakuba is popular and well-liked. So, anyone who hurts him is probably in big trouble.

Naoto's probably in need of some spiritual guidance right about now! A little trip to the temple would be a good thing for her. Besides, it's only fair that she let Issei entertain, for once.

He feels so special~ Oh ho, does this mean he's a member of the Detective Prince's court?

Naoto's pretty well-liked herself. Hopefully nobody tries to take revenge on her, because then they'll get revenge taken upon them and everything will be a huge mess.

Issei likes playing host~ And it'll be good to see her and make sure she knows that he still wants her to be happy. We will also get to judge whether the monks are weirder than the fox.

Probably not. The only one you'll really have to look at for is Haibara, and Naoto already agreed that she'd let the girl shoot her if she ever hurt Hakuba... orz

Yes! Thankfully, they're also one of the few foods that Issei can cook very well - the temple has monks who are better cooks, so Issei mainly focuses on things he would make specifically for other people, which seems to be breakfasts and desserts. The fox probably doesn't have yakuza friends... Or tell embarrassing stories about Issei when he has guests over.
