One day, Roxas asks Nate if he wants to go for ice cream.
It's completely out of the blue, a non-sequitur not even remotely close to what they were talking about before, but Roxas seems really intent on the idea, so Nate goes along with it and lets Roxas treat him. It isn't until he's almost finished his that he asks Roxas why he was so dead set on getting Nate out here for ice cream.
Roxas blinks, gives a small, embarrassed laugh, and tells him that he used to think that being friends with someone meant eating ice cream with them.
Nate can't quite shake the feeling that Roxas might still believe that a little.
