What first attracted Kanaya to Rainbow Drinkers and what caused her to find them so fascinating?

What would it take for John to truly dislike/hate someone? And I mean past the point where he could ever concieve of making things up and becoming friends with them.

I can't think of anything that would make John hate someone absolutely, but he could be pushed to the point where he wouldn't be able to forgive them; if someone who he didn't love betrayed him and his friends for a reason that had nothing to do with the greater good - e.g. going and slaughtering all his friends for fun - or if someone was just... plain and pure evil bad guy and they killed someone he loved very much, e.g. what Bec Noir is doing atm. It has to be something really serious, and there can't be any reason he could feel sympathy, empathy or understanding for them.

He'd still be appropriately civil and even helpful to them if they stopped and later regretted their actions, but he'd never quite forgive them.

What is Ranka going to do now that the universe has been saved by the power of pop music? What does she want from the future?

Working on her career more than like. She helped save the entire universe with the Galactic Fairy and she was a star in her own right before then. Whatever she does from now on is going to be red hot. There's also songs from the movies that I want to include in DDD because they are fun so there's definitely still material. She might try her hand at acting once or twice as well, but what she wants the most is Alto and a happy, safe life with her friends and family.

If it happened, it would need to happen before he got all magic-obsessed like he is in canon. It'd need to be strong enough to break through his ambition. Threats to Team Magitek (aka Dr. Cid and Celes) would work--he'd drop magic like a hot potato and learn something else to help them instead.

As he is now? Nope. Not happening. It's gonna kill him? He'll just speed up his plans to become a god of magic before that happens. It'll drive him mad? LOL he's already been in the depths of despair with magic on the brain, he fears it not. And mental illness is not the end of the world! It'll ruin his social life? It's already ruined. Lose his status? Welp, he'll just have to hurry up and become a god.

That's quite some imagination/determination/insanity there xD

Ohgod it is, but I think he's more than willing to help Peter through his superheroing once that comes up. ;~; He wants friends again, dammit.

It's not insanity! It's ambition and determination!

If I may tl;dr a bit--Kefka's magic didn't drive him ~crazy~. (That misconception that evil = crazy really annoys me |D;) He's always been ambitious; he's always had a ruthless streak; he's always had some control freak tendencies; he's always had a bad temper and occasional dips into depression -- but adding actual magic to the mix, which tends to increase aggression and mess up emotional stability and turn people less 'human' etc etc, pushed those traits to the forefront.

What first drew her was that they thrive in daylight. She, being clever and able to make connections, immediately identified with them. Living in the desert, where the troll undead do exist, did make her realize that Rainbow Drinkers were not real but probably a reflection of Alternian society's fascination with blood combined with the real undead. My headcanon is that Kanaya's own ancestor actually, without realizing it, added to this myth. Basically, Kancestor was the Elizabeth Bathory of Trolls but really did lust for blood for the sake of, well, drinking it, but was completely living and not undead at all. This personality trait that probably was a side effect of having jade blood was passed down to Kanaya--but that's neither here nor there and likely to be jossed in future updates.

Her first Rainbow Drinker "novel" was an illustrated grub-version of Troll Dracula. There are, in real life, summarized illustrated versions of classic novels so little kids can get into them so I think trolls have them, too. Kanaya's lusus wanted her to be well-read. What Kanaya took from it that Rainbow Drinkers were intelligent, light-loving, always wore bright colors, and incredibly dangerous.

As she became older and slowly realized her blood was messing up her sleep schedule and was, in it's own way, alienating her from the other trolls as she was tired/sleeping when most of their adventures were taking place... Well, she identified more with the idea of the Rainbow Drinker--not only that, to her, they symbolized all that Troll Society could be but wasn't--than the common heroes of Alternian society. It wasn't long before she wished they were real (she would argue that wanting monsters to be real isn't the same thing as believing in fairies) and soon, after that, wanted to be one herself.

I would liken her fascination with Vriska's fascination with her Ancestor, Mindfang. Rainbow Drinkers are not just vampires, to her. It's an ideal, a level of being enlightened to rise above a barbaric society. Which lends to why she's not at all impressed with vampires. She set Rainbow Drinkers on a pedestal, they are her ideal, her form of what "perfection" is.

So, while it might seem like Kanaya is just the average teenager fascinated with Twilight it's not like that. It's become a religion to her, almost.

What would you consider most of John's relationships with the trolls right now? Other than being Eridan's moirail, do you think any of them will change over time?

Will Mileina ever write out romance novels or do something like be a matchmaker when she grows up?

That is a good question! And the answer is probably a little of both, but mostly worrying. This Sherry was taken before the transformation into G, so she has yet to see how frightening her father can become- But she knows that he does bad things and hangs around with bad people, and on some level he scares her. There's a hint of nervousness around him that wasn't there before she joined the community, and she'll probably never be completely comfortable around him again.

On the other hand - he's her father. She knows him and loves him and wants him to be safe. When he's happy it makes her smile, and all the dumb things he does like not shower and live off of caffeine and no sleep make her concerned and worried. She doesn't think he'll ever be normal, but at least he might be functional.
