BECAUSE KEFKA CORRUPTS HIIIIIMMMno I'll think of a legit answer when I get home.

Will Carrion miss being able to use his fake identity?

[identity profile] sandinmyboots.livejournal.com 2011-06-10 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly!

Other paths he could have gone, if he had magic work out better or was in a different world, would reflect that -- a lawful neutral control freak god who is going to make EVERYONE HAPPY NO MATTER WHAT on his little world; a lawful good warrior for good who tends to overwhelm himself in trying to do everything and dresses up as a white mage because that's awesome; a true neutral military commander with a winning streak and a no survivors policy; and so on.

Aria's more of a diplomat than a fighter.

And that makes sense! Although I don't think Kefka will ever approve |D

Right. Probably a team up of all three kids, and she'd need something of a different kind of power to power her needles with...if not horrorterror magic, then what?

"LAVI WTF IS THAT" "it's a memory of good times 8D"

I'm not familiar with his canon; is Kanda a close friend/crush of his?

[identity profile] sandinmyboots.livejournal.com 2011-06-10 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
KEFKA'S NOT THAT COMPETENT, EVEN THOUGH HE LIKES TO THINK HE IS XD

"WELP"

He's been a girl twice thanks to the community so while he would obvs work his manipulating skills to become a boy again, he wouldn't be as freaked as you might think. He'd have fun accusing Kyon of eyeballing him. NEW WAYS TO ANNOY DEADPAN SNARKER GET. He'd just calmly and subtly persuade her that he needs to be a boy, and wake up in a few days all better.

[identity profile] lavida-loco.livejournal.com 2011-06-10 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Something like that, I need to imagine a situation where Lavi would stitch himself a leech Envy plushie.

Kanda is a not so close, highly aggressive friend who is pretty aggressive when he's being teased by Lavi. *points to icon*

I think that while she still would have felt the pressure to be a badass/feed her lusus/kill all day erry day, I think it would have made her interpersonal relationships play out a bit differently-- especially Tavros. A big part of why she's always all up in his grill demanding so much of him is because she has this great dramatic picture in her mind of the awesome Summoner that he could grow up to be, and is trying to stage this epic romance and mimic their ancestors and make him live up to something she has in her head. I think that if she wasn't trying to force him to live up to something, they would have gotten along better-- Vriska's still Vriska, so she would still get fed up with him being a shrinking violet sometimes, and he would probably still get pretty scared of her, but I don't think she'd get so angry at him for failing to do what she wanted him to-- because he wouldn't be letting her down, he'd just be being a wimp.

Also Vriska has no patience-- she seems to be trying to fit a life that's hundreds of sweeps long into her adolescence. So I think if she didn't have something specific like that to aim for, it would be easier to moirail at her and actually stop her from doing bad things once in a while, because she wouldn't be quite so MUST ACHIEVE DESTINY NOW.

Kefka as military commander is something I want to see...from very far away...behind layers and layers of protective glass.

[identity profile] knittedfluthlu.livejournal.com 2011-06-10 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Makes sense. The patience part especially xD

[identity profile] knittedfluthlu.livejournal.com 2011-06-10 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Pretty much yes. Though she's not exactly the most diplomatic at times either xD But of the two, yeah. She'd prefer to talk than fight and avoid than either.

All three kids plus Kanaya might do it. I'm not really sure how you could jazz up needles without the magic aspect :/

I will be cheesy and state the easy answer: she has too much love in her heart. It's either give it away or explode into sugar and spice♥.

[identity profile] amourde-patou.livejournal.com 2011-06-11 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Ahh blame her boyfriend for that.

She was depressive, really when her boyfriend Togi broke up with her. Then Kairi took her out on a date and made her see that she was very beautiful and what not and after that, just thinking about seeing Kairi, makes her very happy and very positive.

Petros' greatest fear is Alessandro dying. ): He's sworn to protect and serve the Pope and if the Pope dies, then he's failed. But more so, he knows if Alessandro dies the world is going to fall into chaos. As much as he wants to see all the Methuselah die (which, that idea is changing. he's moving to the idea that not all of them are bad), he doesn't want to see people who can't defend themselves die.

Larsa's thoughts on ruling are: wow i'm the youngest i wasn't supposed to do this and now i have to step up and be a good leader for my people and now it's given him some backbone. He's stronger because of it, though he wishes that he wasn't treated like some puppet, but rather as an Emperor with ideals. All he wants is peace and he fights extremely hard to make sure that it can be achieved.

Right now, he's at the point of being good friends with all of them. They're not his best friends yet - although one day, at least some of them could very well be, such as Karkat or Vriska or even Terezi - but they're pretty much on the tier below Jade, Dave and Rose. Karkat is the only exception, but they had movie bonding, so Karkat is like... his douchebag friend. Meaning just that he likes him sometimes and dislikes him others.

The fact that he even knows (almost) all of the trolls is a change from canon that could lead to changes in relationships; he's not just relying on Karkat and Vriska now, so he has spread his friendship disease to everyone. I think that it's highly possible he could become an auspistice if the need for one ever arose, because like moirallegiance, he's pretty suited to that quadrant. But mostly, he's just going to keep becoming a closer friend to them.

[identity profile] bottletopped.livejournal.com 2011-06-11 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
On one hand, she loves it and she's very grateful to it; it's given her a second chance to exist, and to watch over Roxas, and to do things she never got to do as part of the Organisation. She's made friends and she gets to travel across worlds of her own free will, she's learnt and experienced things that never would have happened under Xemnas' control. She's become an actual person who is recognised as such, instead of just a shelled-out puppet. It's even given Roxas a second chance to live apart from Sora. For that, it's something of a blessing.

On the other hand, she resents it for holding her there, for forcing her to watch Roxas go through everything she had already been through before, and even for extracting her from Sora and forcing her to live; her plan had been to let Roxas defeat her, so that she could return to her rightful place as a part of Sora, and she had been completely prepared for that, she'd steeled herself and it was her destiny. And then the community decided to go and fuck that up, and sometimes she still wishes she could just go back to Sora like she was supposed to.

How will John react once he realizes that the events that end up with Eridan dying starts? (IE Kanaya dying)

[identity profile] bottletopped.livejournal.com 2011-06-11 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
He already has an idea of it, actually! He doesn't know why, but he knows that Eridan snaps for some reason and kills Feferi and Kanaya. He's a little horrified by it and extremely confused, but he is slowly getting a grasp on the nature of trolls - really, all it's done is make him even more determined to stop it all from happening before it can even start. He's also convinced that there must have been something serious that set Eridan off in the first place, so it hasn't really... changed his opinions of any of them at all.

[identity profile] ovversensitivve.livejournal.com 2011-06-11 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
This would be headcanon, but I think the idea of doing the impossible would really appeal to him, and might be what got him liking it in the first place. He's a fan of conquering and the mystery and intrigue of dictators and all that, so the idea of having magic and the ability to make the impossible happen, and force others to his will would probably be what appealed at first. And besides that, what kid DOESN'T love the idea of shiny sparkly magic and being special and being able to do special things?

I think he just tells himself it's fake. Or rather, he tells other people he believes it's fake. He WANTS magic to be real, he wants to think it exists and people can do it and it could maybe be something he could do someday. But he's higher blooded, and therefore less likely to have any of the cool abilities the lower bloods do, and so he loudly professes that he doesn't believe in it. He's essentially jealous - characters low on the spectrum have these "magical" abilities, and he hates them, he wants to wipe them out (or at least SAYS he does). He says magic doesn't exist, and mocks and disparages anyone who believes in it because he doesn't think HE can have it. He's jealous and makes every excuse to act like he totally isn't jealous and anyone who believes in that stupid crap is just dumb, and a low blood, and obviously he's superior. He's got a fagile ego like that.

[identity profile] ovversensitivve.livejournal.com 2011-06-11 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
Anger. Maybe a tiny bit of snapping, and more than a little despair, even if he comes back right away. He'll want to SEE and TOUCH John after, to make sure he's okay, and really there, and not permanently dead. It'll probably be a chance for John to see Eridan vulnerable in a non-calculated way, you know? In a way that Eridan isn't putting on or exaggerating for a bit more attention. It'll like, genuinely freak him out - he'll be sort of fragile like he was when he was super worried about Fef in canon, but, well...way worse. Because he saw John die.

[identity profile] ovversensitivve.livejournal.com 2011-06-11 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
Oh lordy, those three. There's some canon showing of their relationships and I'm a little foggy on some of the ones with Lind because he appears very little and it's been a while since I read his arc. BUT.

Akito is the dominant personality for most of the first part of the series. He's the one who splintered off into Agito, and considers himself the primary (even though that's Lind, really). He's a pacifist, and he created Agito both to protect himself and to pawn off the violent things that were hurting him too much to deal with. So he thinks of Agito a bit like a protector who he loves, and (in my own headcanon)in a a bit like a guard dog who's just a little inferior because he likes all the base and grotesque things that Akito couldn't stomach doing. Still, he never really interacts with or talks about Agito in a negative way.

Agito pretty much idolizes Akito. Akito is his reason for being, and he'll generally put Akito's needs before his own, protecting the body and trying not to push it past its limits because it's Akito's body - he considers the body to belong to Akito, and is aware that he's a guest, an offshoot. While he loves Akito, and Akito is arguably the only person he DOES love, he's also a bit afraid of him, or of being not needed anymore. He has a very intense fear of Akito getting over his need of him which he believes would cause his own "death" or disappearance. While he does respect/want to protect Akito, and his focus is on Akito, he has his own motivations, and has his own friends, who he interacts with independently, and he'll do things that moderately compromise Akito (like ignoring his bedtime) for his own gains.

I'm not 100% on Akito's interactions with Lind, but I know Agito dislikes Lind, and is afraid of him. He sees Lind as a danger, because Lind has zero respect for the body they share, and won't hesitate to threaten its destruction to get what Lind wants. Agito isn't as strong as Lind in a lot of ways, since Lind is superhuman, but when push comes to shove, and Agito is afraid of the body dying, and Akito dying, and dying himself, he IS capable of forcing Lind into submission. Agito actually keeps Lind in a symbolic cage inside the shared headspace, in the "basement" as it were, like an animal that needs to be caged. Lind is something that needs to be tied up and kept subdued for Akito and Agito's safety.

All makes perfect sense. Especially the envy part - it makes sense he would dismiss something that he's too high on the spectrum to have access to.
