"Hmm?" Masamori appeared unfazed. "I'm the one who invited you, of course I'll pay." He took a wallet out from his kimono.
"But-" Mai reddened. "But that makes it kind of like-"
"Like what?" Masamori asked, apparently genuinely in the dark.
"Like a date," Mai mumbled.
"Oh." Masamori's expression didn't change, but there was perhaps a slight flush in his cheeks. "Well, why don't we just say you owe me lunch sometime?" he smiled.
Mai's blush receded a bit as she laughed. "I owe you one."
