It was rarely ever quiet between Rider and Waver. No matter what they were expressing, praise or complaints, for Waver it was annoyed, snappish, and for Rider it was just loud. Rider was always loud.

Waver was rarely happy, even if he was away from Rider. With Rider it was just a different kind of unhappiness, that came from having someone diametrically opposed to him by his side, praising him. It was a... nice kind of unhappiness.

Rider would have liked to cause that unhappiness for a long time, and would stay by his side as long as he could.
