[She doesn't laugh out loud. She can't, not yet. The excitement builds inside her mind. The blood rushing to her head. It's just like all those years ago when Rosa (oh, poor stupid trusting Rosa) would be foolish enough to stay and listen to one of her big sister's stories. Ones that would certainly leave her awake in the middle of the night staring at the ceiling or closet.
She stands up, wiping off the her dress. She moves towards where he sleeps and kneels by his side, lowering her head so it's right next to his ear. She whispers, softly, as not to wake him (not yet) but enough to get her words through. To twist whatever shallow dreams he's having. When he wakes... Heh. He'll be so eager to please. Her voice has a slight sing-song quality to it as it did when she told all those lies to Rosa oh so many years ago.]
There once was a little boy who didn't believe in magic, oh not him... No matter how much the elders told him not to say such things he continued to say it. [She allows that to sink in. She even reaches out her hand, gently touching his hair. As if he really was just a child who fell asleep during story time.] You know what happened to him. That the fairies and witches took him away...to a place where only magic existed. Where, if he didn't do exactly as he's told he would never return home... but you aren't like the naughty boy, are you? Magic is real. Beans can turn into ladders to the sky. Witches can turn wheat into gold. Good boys are rewarded.
[She strokes his hair.] You're a good boy, aren't you? [Even if he's asleep, she still asks this question.]
