Basically, Edgar was kidnapped as a child so this guy - who is literally just called Prince - can mold, brainwash, him to take the title. He got away but the guy's still after him so he decided to make himself an even harder target. So, he teams up with Lydia, a fairy doctor, to gain the title of Blue Knight Earl, an Earl which how lands in both human and fairy worlds.

So, basically, he's trying to use the community to gather the power he needs to beat this guy. He's usually more covert about it but...
