Togusa. Death is too much work. (My favorite of all time is the Major, though I don't play her at this game actually secretly I am also Tophie mua ha ha.)

Ghost in the Shell characters are smart and come from a logically consistent universe, which is my favorite general character and setting type to play from. I like the GitS setting in specific and the questions it raises about the nature of humanity and society.

Togusa's the moral center of the show and the character that really unifies the various themes of the series. He's also the canon punching bag, and playing that is a lot of fun.
