Tl;DR Warning! 1/2
Prepare for major tl;dr here!
Naoto is convinced that she is the one solely responsible for breaking Hakuba beyond all hope of repair. Like the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back, her betrayal of Hakuba's trust has now led him to become an emotional wreck and she believes that all future relationships he may have with others will be tainted because of her. Truthfully, the girl is taking on a lot of the blame, more than she truly deserves. But in her eyes, she ended up ruining a good thing and possibly throwing away one of the best friendships she's ever had. Suffice it to say, she feels like utter crap about the whole situation.
It all probably started at the Policeman's Ball, really, the beginning of the end there. The minute she shared that kiss with Kanji, she started down the path to ruin. She really did want to explain to Hakuba how she was developing feelings for Kanji, but she was scared and afraid that Hakuba would reject her and that he'd want to know why she was feeling that way toward Kanji (all legitimate fears) but her mistake was in remaining silent and avoiding the problem for so long. December was really an emotional roller coaster for Naoto, and while mentally she is very much an adult, she has the emotional skills of a child. Makes sense, seeing as how she's buried her emotions for so long, she doesn't know how to deal with them properly. Couple that with the fact that she's a teenager with all those hormones, dealing with first loves... it's a train-wreck waiting to happen. Did happen, in fact.
After having sex with Kanji, Naoto really had resolved herself to tell Hakuba about it. But, again, she put it off until it was too late. Shadow!Hakuba happened, and everything spilled out in the worse possible way. Naoto was only able to endure the humiliation that Saguru forced her to go through because part of her believed that she "deserved" it for not telling him sooner. In other words, she brought all this bad karma on herself by being selfish and cowardly.
Then, the battle against Hakuba's Shadow. She was angry about what Saguru did to her and angry about the fact that Hakuba had never told her about his worries and fears--that his Shadow represented the depth of his suppression, the fact that he was keeping A LOT buried beneath the surface, and yet he never was open enough with Naoto to let her see that side of him. Naoto had always been so open with him (aside from the Kanji issue) so this came as a slap to the face for her. No matter how hard she tried, she could never surmount the wall around his heart. Of course, she chose a really bad time to confess her feelings to him (Hakuba was still pretty emotionally wrecked from Akako leaving him) so... yeah. But again, "love makes fools of us all," so she wasn't exactly thinking about the long-term results then.
Anyway, enough rambling. Hakuba's Shadow was defeated. Awesome. Naoto felt bad about how Hakuba's special pocket watch got broken (she's totally going to offer to help fix it, she's got plenty of spare parts). Now, he's got a Persona. He can fight with them. Great! Except Galahad keeps going Berserk. Not so great. She's pissed at Hakuba's self-destructive behavior, even after all of this. Naoto's almost developed some sort of Hero Complex regarding Hakuba, and she thinks it's an insult that she suffered so much for him just so that he can give up and pretty much kill himself. The whole reason she wanted Hakuba on her team was so that he could regain his pride as both a knight and an Emperor. She knows how frustrating it can be, always being the "princess" in need of rescue. She wanted to give Hakuba the opportunity to return the favor for all the times she saved him--to let him play the role of the White Knight that he was born to be. And he was able to, in fact, by taking a mortal blow for her in battle, possibly more than once (though he wasn't the only one who performed that task).
Re: Tl;DR Warning! 2/2
Naoto knows that she's earned the ire of probably half the community now, due to her actions. Again, it's deserved, in her eyes. She hates herself for what she's done and would go to any lengths to earn Hakuba's forgiveness (not unlike the heroines in certain fairy tales, like "East of the Sun, West of the Moon"). While she can never give her heart completely to Hakuba (having closed off that path a long time ago) she still wants to be a close friend and confidant to him again. She failed as the Irene to his Holmes, but maybe she was never meant to be Irene in the first place? Maybe, all this time, she was supposed to be his Watson? Maybe she confused infatuation with love this whole time? It's hard to say... What matters now is that she DOES love Hakuba; she just loves Kanji a little bit more...
In any case, Naoto has to resist the urge to come running to Hakuba's side. She knows he needs his space, and he most likely hates her now. But she doesn't want to cut ties completely. When the opportunity presents itself, she'll reach out to him once more. Only time will tell if Hakuba will actually take her hand this time... or if he will have forever closed his heart to her.

Now He don't want to have Cordelia around either, because she makes him remember Naoto. If you want Naoto to post saying that there's a robot in front of her door go ahead :|

Yeah, they're pretty screwed up. Then again, so were Holmes and Watson. The quintessential "odd couple" those two.
I figured Naoto would end up with Cordelia somehow. She needs someone to stay with her and help keep the house tidy, anyways. (Needs to upload those icons of Cordelia, dammit!)

Screwed up and amazing, best couples ever.
Yeah, but Doyle and Moriarty will visit..er..Doyle more than Moriarty ^^'
(no rush)

Naoto likes Doyle. He's so cute~ As does Cordelia, but she also has fun teasing Moriarty from time to time.
Quick question: Do I need mod permission to post or comment as Cordelia? How does that work?
no subject
H's a bit like a kid :> I can see this t arguing about stuff.
I asked mod permission for Doyle and Moriarty time ago, Doyle was involved in a plot Styx and I created with the black ops, but wasn't a real character so we needed it. So yes, you should ask first.

Since I'll probably need this for my own reference and possibly for the Mods, do you have some sort of info post for Doyle and Moriarty's capabilities? Basically, the stuff that they can do, so I'll have a reference for Cordelia.
Also, the omitted the Three Laws of Robotics for Cordelia, right? Considering she's supposed to possess a more sophisticated AI, that would be kind of strange to put such a limit on an android that is supposed to closely resemble a "true" human being.

I saw that you got accepted, sorry this reply came late.
I do not have an info post but I should write one. Moriarty and Doyle are basically like Terminator, more strong and resistant than a normal human, but they can’t fly or anything of the sort. Hakuba always add 3 things to all the robots he creates: the Three Laws of Robotics and a Shut Down Code and a Shut Down button.
The Shut down code is a code of 12 numbers and letters mixed that when is said in a particularly order stop all the functions of the robotic body, but that doesn't mind that it erase or destroys their A.I's. Hakuba added that to the encrypted code of the robots to be sure that if one of them is hacked or goes crazy it could be stopped.
The Shut Down button has the same function of the Shut Down Code, but with the difference that if you forgot the order of the numbers or letterers or you can’t talk, you have to press the mentioned button to stop the robot. Where is it? Well then, it doesn’t look like a button per sé, the button is in the robots neck under the skin. You have to press the back of their neck to stop them.
Doyle, Moriarty and Cordelia know about the Three Laws of Robotics but not about the code or the shut down button. Moriarty, after the incident with Rufus shooting Hakuba, wanted to get rid of the Laws and convinced Akako to erase them of his coding. Good thing that he has a button and code, uhm?
Naoto can mess with Cordelia and change her as much as she wants. Feel free to delete the laws if you think that Cordelia’s free will imply to be able to hurt humans :|

I think considering Naoto's intention to make Coerdila as close to human as possible, she would have ommitted the Three Laws, but the Shut Down code and button would both be in place, for the reasons you mentioned above. After all, there are a number of crazy hackers and viruses on the comm, so you can never be too careful.

Fine with me. Well I imagined that Hakuba is not stupid enough to built and unstoppable robot. Specially if that robot it's Moriarty.
Doyle and Moriarty are two similar A.I but work differently, Doyle was made to gather and keep information in a safe place, and Moriarty was created as a security system/virus. I will explain that better in the info post :|
