Oh yeah it has been a lot of fun to contemplate, not complaining at all! :D

If Ed was driving the plot instead of fighting against it, it might change more but there's too many unseen people pulling the strings at this point that I don't think it will have any drastic effects yet. After all the homunculi probably couldn't care if Ed was ten or whatever when they see him for that day as long as he is there.

Ed is very integral to the plot, he is the main character after all, but the further you go the more you find out so much is out of his control. It's kinda sad too. :(
