ONE. list your characters (journal names optional).
TWO. others reply with one of those characters or a pairing for you to write; platonic or romantic is up to you.
THREE. pick five cliché AUs from this list (complete with explanations!), and write something of any length - a sentence, a paragraph, a drabble, or a full-length ficlet, if you'd prefer - for each of those five AUs, involving that character or pairing.

Hondou Eisuke

[Pirates+Steampunk]

Eisuke sat on the open edge of the airship’s deck, lifeline clipped to his harness, feet dangling over the edge. Hundreds of feet below, the Russian tundra rolled out like a paint-splattered canvas. It was never truly silent on an airship, there was always the hiss of wind through rigging, the creaking of metal and wood, the far-off echoing footsteps of other crew members going about their tasks. Right now though, the wind was at it’s quietest, the earth below was void and silent, and the majority of the crew was sleeping in their bunks. Despite the summer midnight sun, it was bitterly cold. Eisuke rubbed distractedly at a spot over his heart with a gloved hand, feeling (or perhaps simply imagining that he could feel) the faint rectangular outline of a packet of papers through the heavy leather of his jacket. It had taken eight months, but now he had all the information he needed. Captain’s names, the ranking of each vessel, their flight paths, the number of able-bodied sailors, exact counts of guns and cannons and blasters. He was finished here, was going to jump ship at their next port of call and get out.

And maybe, just maybe (if he said the right things, brought up reminders of their friendship, pulled and tugged and prodded at the idea of loyalty to King and Country), not get out alone.

Go Eisuke! So quietly badass.

Pity he's so loudly failtacular...

Princes were not supposed to be the ones stuck in enchanted towers, waiting for someone to save them. They were supposed to be doing the saving, not attempting to plan escapes, each more ridiculous (and likely to fail) than the one before.

This was not how things were supposed to work at all, but for some reason, he didn’t really mind.

Poor Eisuke. Life isn't kind to him.

Eisuke and Kazuha? (Here to provide a challenge.)
