ONE. list your characters (journal names optional).
TWO. others reply with one of those characters or a pairing for you to write; platonic or romantic is up to you.
THREE. pick five cliché AUs from this list (complete with explanations!), and write something of any length - a sentence, a paragraph, a drabble, or a full-length ficlet, if you'd prefer - for each of those five AUs, involving that character or pairing.

Oh, you.

Disclaimer: I know nothing about DC/MK so chalk this up to AU territory B|;;

There was a ghost in the house. Kaito, despite appearances, wasn't really given to flights of fancy: wind closed doors, not ghosts. Wind started fires, not ghosts.

So when a partially-transparent figure, shimmering like white smoke, appeared in front of him in the foyer... His first reaction wasn't that it was a ghost.

"That's the oldest prank in the book," he complained, rolling his eyes as he hauled in another box full of stuff. "I don't even bother with that one." Kaito walked right by and strode up the stairs, uncaring.

The figure watched him go and scowled.

The next time it happened, Aoko was there, and she screamed. But she had a similar reaction, too. "Kaito! What have I told you about that! I still have those fish panties, you know; don't make me use them!"

"H-Hey, that wasn't me!" he protested, waving his arms desperately. Not the fish panties! Ugh. "I thought it was you! Would I really pull something that unclassy on you?" He smiled winningly.

Aoko was way too used to him to buy into that. She folded her arms, then unfolded them, leveling an index finger at the apparition. "Then what is that? Because it wasn't me. Get rid of it."

"But I didn't - "

"Whatever, Kaito." She rolled her eyes, picked up her bag, and leaned in to give him a kiss on the cheek. "I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" She walked out.

Kaito sighed. He would have to get to the bottom of this.

This time, the ghost threw up its arms and walked away in exasperation.
