ONE. list your characters (journal names optional).
TWO. others reply with one of those characters or a pairing for you to write; platonic or romantic is up to you.
THREE. pick five cliché AUs from this list (complete with explanations!), and write something of any length - a sentence, a paragraph, a drabble, or a full-length ficlet, if you'd prefer - for each of those five AUs, involving that character or pairing.

three. [mental asylum] 2/2 sobbbbbbbb ;A;

When the two suited men tried to reach for him, he whirled, claws tearing at them, screeching like a primitive animal. An alarm sounded, the suits moving out of the room, the boy on their tail, closing the door just in time behind them. Enraged, the creature roared, banging against the walls and scratching whatever he could to get out. He hurled itself against the window again and again and again, trying to break it and failing each time, screaming in frustration with each new failed attempt.

Within the next moment, a gas had been released into the room, and he whirled at this. Fangs bared, it tried to warn the approaching mist with a growl. But it didn't stop, and when he realized this, he roared, charging towards the source in a frenzy.

He didn't get far. After a few seconds, he collapsed, the gas paralyzing him from his neck down temporarily. As the toxin cleared, Nate could see him again, and what he saw terrified him.

The creature, Sora, was whimpering. Yellow eyes were in pain and suffering, wanting to scream but unable to do so. Beyond the animalistic changes, Nate saw something else behind the beast lying on the ground- he saw the human look of fear, of sorrow, of terror, behind the boy's eyes. Of a child not knowing what had happened to him, and trying to reach out towards someone who could assure him, only to find that there was a glass wall separating him from this person forever.

It was something he would never forget, try as he might. Those eyes would haunt him for the rest of his life.

When he came a few days later to see Sora, the asylum wasn't allowing visitors at the time. He was told to come back another day, and he did. He was denied visitation again that time as well. So he came a few days later. Again, he was denied.

It wasn't until the sixth or seventh visit that he was allowed to see the boy, and when they brought him in, Nate's heart broke in two. He was bound, wrists in handcuffs, a black bag over his head, and entirely in white. they said it was because they didn't want to take any more chances. He was allowed to speak to Sora, but not to ask questions- because that would provoke an answer, and a possible reaction of the syndrome again. The boy's head perked up when he heard Nate speaking, and beneath the black, he could feel the kid smile at the sound of his voice. When he left, there was no resistance from the patient as they led him away, Nate watching him leave and the door closing behind him.

That was the last time he ever saw him. The asylum stopped accepting visitors after six new patients with the syndrome arrived, therefore making the place too dangerous for normal civilians to enter. To this day, a part of him wonders whatever happened to the cheery boy he once knew, and if he ever saw the light of day after their last meeting. All he can do now is wonder, reminisce, and miss one of the closest friends he ever had.
