ONE. list your characters (journal names optional).
TWO. others reply with one of those characters or a pairing for you to write; platonic or romantic is up to you.
THREE. pick five cliché AUs from this list (complete with explanations!), and write something of any length - a sentence, a paragraph, a drabble, or a full-length ficlet, if you'd prefer - for each of those five AUs, involving that character or pairing.

1/2 Western Naesala/Rose. This one turned out to be a long one @_@

For a sheriff, Rose stood out. She was a bounty hunter before finally settling in the small town that was now under her protection. It gave her an advantage over whatever outlaws who would decide to stir up trouble, and she had no problem with killing any of the more dangerous types. The reason she stood out was more obvious. She was a woman, simple as that, but the town men no longer minded that fact anymore once they found out how well she was able to handle herself in a brawl and how sharp a shooter she was.

For the most part, the town was peaceful, but there were a few trouble makers whom she had to lock up in the jailhouse every now and then. Like the one that was sitting in one of the cells that morning. As she walked into the jailhouse, she took the keys off the hook, and went to one of the barred door cells. The man in the cell was laid back on the bench, with his hands behind his head.

“Morning Sheriff,” he said with a smug grin as he looked over to her. “Why is it you always lock me in here? Is it so you can keep me close because you have a thing for me?”

“Don’t flatter yourself, Naesala,” Rose replied with a frown. “You damn well know why I locked you in here the other day.”

Naesala sat up and gave her an mock innocent look. “But I didn’t do anything other then conduct a little business.”

“You pissed off a bounty hunter because you were hussling him at cards and taking his money. When he found out what you were doing a fight broke out at the Saloon because he was trying to kill you. It was either lock you up until he left town or I get the job of dragging your remains to the undertaker.”

“You were worried about my safety? I’m touched.”

She rolled her eyes and unlocked the cell door and held it open for him. “He left town about two hours ago, so get out of my jail. And try to behave this time.”

Naesala grabbed his hat that was on the floor and stood up. “As always, its been a pleasure, Sheriff.” He nodded and walked out of the jailhouse.

She watched him leave and wondered why she doesn’t hang him for as many times as she had to arrest him. But then again, all he and his gang really do is cheat at cards which usually results in a brawl if their caught. That was not enough to hang a man. Though, there have been rumors that he and his gang had robbed trains and stagecoaches during the times they would be out of town for days and weeks, but there was no proof. Perhaps she should ask him about that the next time she arrested him, and knowing Naesala, she wouldn’t have to wait long.
