With all this ruckus going on, I think we need to thinking about our CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS.

Kasumi on Retasu and/or Mew Lettuce.

Retasu reminds Kasumi of Fuu, a bit; they're associated in her head because she's seen them being so cute together so often. The girl is very sweet, and rather kind. Kasumi would like to help her gather her confidence and soar to the sky, because she just knows the girl would be able to do great things if she only believed that she could.

On another level, Retasu reminds Kasumi of herself at that age. As a middle schooler, Kasumi was quiet and not very outgoing. She kept to herself more than Retasu does, but she felt what Retasu vocalizes: that, no matter what, any failure was her fault. Retasu's apologies strike a sympathetic cord in Kasumi, and the older girl is going to do what she can (with words and with actions) to help silence them.

Really, though, the dear is so cute it amazes her. (It's almost like she is the younger sister of her younger sister.)
