But - And he can feel the fainter anxiety. Feel the need to keep not too near, bu -) And he's careful to keep to what makes her comfortable. Careful to keep to a speed that is easiest for her. Careful to make certain not to push entering the festival - too early or too late. He allows her to adjust - a little at a time. At her own pace.

At her own rate, and so when he leads them further in - it is a fainter reassurance in the way he gently reaches back. Just enough. Rests his fingers, almost too lightly, on her wrist.
