TEN THINGS AZULA LIKED BEST ABOUT BEING FIRE LORD

1. Having more power than anyone else in the world.
2. Having her advisers answer directly to her.
3. Being able to make any and all final decisions by herself.
4. The idea that she would be the one to finish the war and usher in a new age of Fire Nation prosperity.
5. Her throne room. ♥
6. Having the run of the palace.
7. Having more servants.
8. Heightened fear from (most of) her enemies and those who opposed her.
9. Total control over the armies.
10. More respect from the (pro-war) Fire Nation citizens.

TEN THINGS AZULA HATED MOST ABOUT BEING FIRE LORD
1. Without her father around, the pressure got 10x worse, and it was more than she could handle; there's a reason teenagers shouldn't be ruling countries on their own.
2. She was accountable for every mistake, no matter how small.
3. Constant threat of assassination, thanks to Ozai.
4. Not being able to share in her victories with anyone (i.e. Ozai) or get praise from someone she desperately wanted it from.
5. Having to deal directly with prison affairs, which meant she had to think about her father a lot.
6. More workload + quickly-developing insomnia = lolno.
7. Less hands-on work (i.e. no more running around the world to hunt the Avatar).
8. No more fighting as a soldier.
9. Less time to relax, even when she really needed to.
10. Loneliness. Lots of loneliness.
