lmfao. This is also a bit of a hard one (because he likes a lot of things about her), but (in no particular order):

I. Her stubbornness - she was among the first he'd seen with that kind of trait. It's something he admires, really - while it can get her into trouble and can cause her more harm than good; her ability to charge head first into even the most difficult of situations is something to really, well, admire as I've said. He loves her for it. :>

II. Her intelligence. While certainly not absolutely required for Kaworu to love someone - Asuka's intelligence is something he enjoys holding his own against. He loves talking to her about more complex issues - and enjoys seeing how quickly she can pick up things. He likes the challenges she's bound to sometimes install in conversation. He also likes to see her perspectives; her own kind of unique take on subjects most wouldn't bother thinking about. ♥

III. Her passion. Seriously, if it's one thing that Kaworu likes to see in people - it's passion. Her passion for music one of the many he likes to see on display. It's a kind of feeling that just lights up the soul of the individual, you know? He sees that and relates. It's almost inspiring, really. It's one of those emotions that endear him and attract him to the person/conversation almost instantaneously, on the occasion.

IV. Her warmth. While it's rare for most to see it - he has the pleasure of seeing it much more than most. She can be surprisingly attentive and loving when she wishes to be, after all. While physical proximity was odd for him to get used to when it wasn't granted by him at first - her pushes have made him much more comfortable.

V. Her little imperfections and quirks. While this probably sounds really strange on this list, he likes the humanness of her. She stumbles sometimes - she has strange, little habits - but, instead of repelling him, they tend to draw him nearer in a desire to understand. He likes how wonderfully complex she is, really. He likes what makes her her. He likes to see what makes her tick.

VI. Her strengths. Her ability to gather herself up - to pull herself back together - it's really admirable. At the same time, her displaying weakness is also considered a strength to him, though he knows she hates crying (for example).

VII. Her ambitiousness. Sometimes she's a little overzealous, but her drive and her motivation is something to be inspired by. She strives to do the best in what she does, which is never bad in small quantities - but Kaworu realizes the darker edge to this, as well.

VIII. Her protectiveness - toward her friends and those she has lived amongst, specifically. While it is true that he registers on some level that her protectiveness of him is something that endears him and warms him, he would rather she worry more for herself. sob, martyr complex.

IX. The way she lets her guard down, sometimes. The little moments where she trusts him just enough to let him see the deeper aspects of her. The tiny little moments where he can move closer to her than anyone else. And instances she curls up to him in the morning. The way she can allow him in.

X. The way she teases him - her playfulness. The sarcasm, even. He loves this little aspect about her. It's a way she shows she cares, occasionally. He likes the little jabs, harmless as they are. He likes to poke back, sometimes. It's a warmer, gentler part of her personality that he just. Loves. ;;
