i think it'd be terrifying for tony ): she's like this delicate little rabbit and he's a gross big wolf in his mind. i think he'd freak himself out with it, being so gentle, so cautious and eventually fuck it up. just do something horrible to her like cheat or push her away with something vicious verbally. i think tony ideally would love to have someone who feels as genuine as her but he knows he's too horrible of a person personality wise to ever make it work. the mere thought of being committed to anything or anyone other than iron man and himself is suffocating. he'd totally sabotage himself.

so he wouldn't be able to give himself over, even though a part of him would like to, for christine. he wouldn't be able to break down his walls for her and he'd probably end up hurting her a lot ): baw.
