Not Very Well. Her family is her life; she's pretty much defined herself by their needs since she was eight years old. The community, however, is helping to drive a wedge between her duties and her capability to complete them, and thus forcing Kasumi into some state of independence. Step Number 2 on my Kasumi Plan is actually separating her from her family for an extended period of time, by her own violation. I will (hopefully!) be setting this Plan in motion rather soon <3.

If she was suddenly forced out of her house and was unable to return at this exact moment, she would be devastated. In the immediate sense she'd find some way to busy herself, not think about it, and end up breaking down if anyone pushed the issue. A gradual withdrawal would be different: say, if she met someone and got married, or actually listened to Nabiki and went to college. She wouldn't move far away from her family, though, no matter what her reason for leaving. Kasumi would go back to the dojo and check up on her family forever and ever and look after Ranma and Akane's chaotic children and take care of her Father in his old age.

But I have't answered your question. If Kasumi were unable to see her family for a long time, she would be very, very sad. She wouldn't cry or wallow, but she would be more subdued than usual and attempt to mother everyone in the vicinity. There would be so much food. SO MUCH. It would be everywhere, and everything would be so clean you could eat off of it. Never a dirty shirt, either. Or pants, or undies, or... you get the idea.
