quick let's meme while lj is working!!!

THE TEST-DRIVE MEME
  1. Using a journal of a character you've considered apping at DDD, post a comment as if they're already in the game! It can be a voice post, video or text post; it can either be an intro or a "been there a while" sort of deal. Anything goes!
  2. Tag around with others - potential characters or characters who are already in the game - to see how well they fit.
  3. app them Get a better idea of how well they'd work out at DDD, and app or not app accordingly!

[Oh hey it does respond....not very toony still. Hell, it might actually be real.]

Ah, seriously? Geez, Look doll...I dunno what the deal is but I really got a lotta work to do so. If you could tell me how much is enough, it'd really help.

I'm afraid I am no more privy to the community's desires than you are. Experience has taught me that it can and will impose itself whenever it likes for as long as it likes. Once it releases its stranglehold on whatever device you are using to connect you should be free to ignore it until it desires your attention once more.

Great. Just what I needed, another nosey busybody in the office.

[The computer of course but well he's not going to clear that up.]

Well the 'device' looks like somethin' from a cartoon. It's a type-writer with this weird glass screen on it. Kinda like at the picture shows only a whole lot smaller.

....never seen anything like it that actually worked.

I trust then you are from a world and/or time when computers were not prevalent. It seems many have been granted access through the nearest comparable object - magic books for some; in your case, a modified typewriter which does not sound too dissimilar to the laptop I use.

duck dodges came out 1953 but shhhhh >>

It's nineteen fourty-three if that helps.

[If this thing was a magic, talking book...he'd be less surprised and awkward. That just tells something about his day to day.]

Laptop? Never heard of that, kid.

*wavy hands* Also, nthing the APP HIM PLEASE!

Given your time period, that doesn't surprise me. It's 2009 for me but some in this community are further ahead again. We come from all manner of times and places, if what I've observed is any indication/

his app is open and being filled x3

[He gives a low whistle at the year.]

Wow, kid. No wonder.

Places too, huh?

[He doesn't seem too surprised and he's pretty open to buying what she's explaining. Working with ink and pen drawings his whole life kind of does that for you.]

OMG EXCITE!

Seems so. A lot of us are from different versions of Earth but there are some more unusual worlds represented too.

I have to admit, you're taking this remarkably well.

\o/!!!

I'm used to unusual. In my sorta work, you kinda have to expect that everything can happen.

[identity profile] knittedfluthlu.livejournal.com 2011-08-01 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Is that so? Might I enquire as to what it is, exactly, that you do?
