THE TEST-DRIVE MEME

Yeah. Yeah, it wasn't my fault and it was just an accident! That left people dead!

They've been testing for years. Gotta say the turrets and acid are new, stuff that She put in as time went on. Nobody knows why. She didn't talk much and she was before my time anyway.

Ah, well, She was--is, in a way, nobody's come close to that kind of control--or rather--[gulp and a deep breath, he's rather nervous at the very idea of her] um.

She ran the entire facility. Made sure there were tests, did maintenance, watched over the whole compound. Nasty piece of work. Absolutely mad. Then a human shut her down. A human! Hardest part of the story to believe for me.

Yep, deactivated and torn apart. The only thing left are huge chunks and all of Her main body in the central AI room She was kept in.

We've got enough work trying to keep the places from falling to pieces around us. Tests haven't been done in a looooooooooong time.

Emergency auxiliary generators don't make enough power for that. Things run and we run, but that's about it.
