PAST VIRUS LIST
A list of previously-done viruses here, for Grab Bag!
- Attack of the Inanimate Objects virus (characters find themselves being assaulted by objects like TVs, pencils, phones, laptops, etc. with a mind of their own)
- Animal virus (characters are turned into an animal)
- Alignment virus (characters switch alignments
- good characters are evil, lawful characters are chaotic, etc)
- AU virus (characters experience an AU life, complete with fake memories)
- Bodyswap virus (exactly what it says on the tin)
- Crossover AU virus (characters wake up slotted into another world, either with or without the appropriate memories)
- Daemon virus (characters's souls are given appropriate talking animal forms)
- Daydreams virus (character's daydreams are shown to the comm as they happen)
- Dirty Little Secrets virus (characters are compelled to blurt out their most guarded secret)
- Dreams virus (characters' dreams are broadcast to the comm while they sleep)
- Drunk virus (characters are drunk without drinking anything, hilarity ensues)
- Eros virus (characters' skin is super-sensitive, have fun with that)
- False Pregnancy virus (characters are unexpectedly pregnant for the duration of the virus)
- Fairy Tale virus (characters are placed in a fairy tale, complete with fake memories)
- Family unit virus (characters are grouped into a family unit, complete with fake memories)
- Freud virus/But How Does That Make You Feel? virus (characters are compelled to treat the community like their own personal psychiatrist)
- Genderswap virus (characters wake up as the opposite sex)
- Hakuna Matata virus (characters are the embodiment of the phrase; they have no worries or cares no matter what happens)
- Hey That’s My Jacket virus (characters swap clothes with one another and cannot change out of them)
- Inner Thoughts virus (characters' innermost thoughts are broadcast in their comments)
- Last Day virus (characters believe that due to circumstances beyond anybody's help, they are experiencing their last day alive)
- Lost in Translation virus (comm translator microbe breakdown. characters are stuck communicating in one language)
- Loveless virus (characters are paired up into fighter/sacrifice teams complete with name, tattoo, and cat ears/tail if they're a virgin)
- Liar Liar virus (characters are unable to lie or withhold the truth in any way)
- Me, Myself, & I virus (characters are faced with themselves from other points in their timeline)
- Missing Possession virus (characters lose an object of value to them, it turns up in another character's possession)
- Musical virus (characters are placed in a musical, complete with fake memories)
- Opposite Doppelgangers virus (characters have an evil/good twin appear out of nowhere)
- Of Course You Know My Wife virus (characters believe they're married to each other, friends can have fake memories of the marriage too)
- Plz Giv Me Hugz virus (characters desire affection and cuddles etc and feel bad if they don't get them)
- Pokemon virus (characters are turned into a Pokemon or a Trainer; Trainers have fake memories)
- Purgatory virus (Characters deal with suspiciously apropros punishments for their misdeeds)
- Regression viruses: Mental Regression (characters remain physically unchanged, but are mentally a younger age), Physical Regression (characters remain mentally unchanged, but are physically a younger age), Full Regression virus (characters are a younger age, physically and mentally)
- Rewind virus (characters 'rewind' to a previous point in their timeline)
- Singing virus (characters are compelled to burst into song; think Glee crossed with Once More With Feeling)
- SHODAN's Revenge (characters have to deal with an actual computer virus/troubles)
- Seven Sins/Virtues virus (characters have a magnified version of a virtue or a sin become their defining character trait)
- Sleeping With The Enemy virus (characters wake up with someone they normally hate, with the implication of having had sex the night before AND/OR in lovelust with them)
- Sunshine Lollipops & Rainbows virus (characters are unable to say anything mean or confrontational at all, it comes out as YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL {you're a whore} WHY DON'T WE GO EAT A CAKE {why don't you go fuck yourself} etc instead)
- Texts From Last Night virus (characters have no memory of the night before, all clues as to what happened on the comm-fuelled drunken bender come from any pictures or texts to other characters)
- Truth virus (characters are unable to lie)
- Three’s Company virus (characters believe they're in a three-way relationship; friends can have fake memories of the marriage too)
- Timewarp Virus (characters access the comm as though they are in a different section of their timeline, forward or backward)
- Touchy-Feely virus (specific characters have to be touching or else they experience pain and sickness)
- Trip Down Memory Lane virus (characters' memories are posted to the comm as videos)
- Think Sexy Thoughts virus (characters can't stop thinking about sex and/or everything they say is an innuendo)
- Tied Together virus. (characters are attached to one another by some unbreakable rope/handcuff/leather strap/what-have-you)
- Valentine’s Day virus [red strings] (characters are tied by ethereal red strings that only they can see to someone that their destiny is entwined with; as they get closer and the string gets shorter they feel more affectionate to that person.)
- What If virus (characters experience a What If [x] Had/Hadn't Happened type of AU, complete with fake memories)
- What Is To Come virus (characters see flashes of their future posted to the comm)
- Worst Fear virus (characters experience one of their worst fears)
- What You Always Wanted virus (characters get their heart's desire, but only for a single day)
