ONE. list your characters (journal names optional).
TWO. others reply with one of those characters or a pairing for you to write; platonic or romantic is up to you.
THREE. pick five cliché AUs from this list (complete with explanations!), and write something of any length - a sentence, a paragraph, a drabble, or a full-length ficlet, if you'd prefer - for each of those five AUs, involving that character or pairing.

xv. powers
here's the rest of them
Rita had an idealized vision of how bringing her second son into the world would be. It did not include the community recording her holding her new baby boy in her arms covered in sweat with her hair sticking in four different directions. Still what could she do, but smile and introduce him? Harrison Morgan seemed ready for his first close up anyways.
Genderswap
Rick's friends are quick to accuse him of rolling over too quickly for the first woman to come along since Paula. Maybe it isn't manly to say things like she saved him, but it was the truth. She pulled him out of that ugly, hopeless place. She was more of a mother to his kids than Paula had ever been. Wasn't that the important thing? Only an idiot would think Dextera's late nights at the stations were anything, but that.
Fairytale
She dreams of being saved just like any other princess. In her apple induced slumber the queen never lets her get far in the fantasy. There is no hope. She will sleep forever for foolishly placing her fate in this prince's hands. Queen Gail is very insistent upon that last point. For many months that is all she knows. Princess Rita's life consists of half realized dreams of salvation and her mother's cruel words.
Out of nowhere soft lips press against hers and it is no longer a dream. She is back in the world safe and sound. In the privacy of her own mind the princess smugly says, I told you so.
Post-apocalypse
No one ever believes Rita when she explains she survived the end of the world with her son's baseball bat. She tries not to take it to heart. It is rare to find a mother among the survivors and only a mother could understand her position. When your children are in danger a baseball is really all you need.

xii. [fairytale]
It is only when she encounters the rightful ruler of the land (to ironically cut out his heart) that she begins to rethink that assessment of herself. Thor is an innocent man. His words are kind even knowing what she is here to do. They awaken something inside Elektra she thought was long dead; hope. Her hands only shake in response when she commands them to grab the knife and finish the job.
Elektra accepts her defeat and returns to the castle without it. Running away is never option for her. She is not a coward and running away from a man like Loki is futile. Death awaits her surely, but Elektra is indifferent to it. She feels something for the first time since she buried her father. She thinks it is alright to die holding Thor's words in her heart. Her story may be tragic, but a man like Thor could change things for people like her. There is hope for them. That is more than she dared to believe before.
It is only when he reaches inside her chest, Elektra realizes how much that hope clouded her judgment. Her punishment would not be so generous as death. It is only fair, he says. He sent her for a heart. Elektra finds herself agreeing. She is the Huntsman and unlike her king she has no need for a heart.
x. [timeskip]
Elektra smiles at the memory and drives the letter opener she picked up haphazardly in the chaos into the eye of a monster. They were all over the city. She is determined to give the few who made their way into her place of business a gruesome end for trying to murder the innocent people working here. The irony of the situation is not lost on her. She would have to appreciate it later though. There are still more of his monsters to kill.
--- that's it. I might write you one more tonight. Maybe.
