What are you gonna do if Rita gets far enough in canon to end up in Trinity's hands? D:

Once upon a time when we had a Dexter he actually made plans for that! He recruited Bruce Banner and Elektra (trusted friends at the time) and gave them all the information on Rita's case including the events that led to it in his timeline so he could prevent her death from occurring in the new timeline.

Unfortunately Bruce no longer remembers that in DDD canon! Elektra does though and fully intends to stick to the plan. She will be recruiting people to assist her in preventing Rita's death once canon gets close to that. How it happens and who she picks to be part of her backup plans will be determined at some point.

Rest assured the ending of season 4 isn't going to be repeated here. ;;
