Anyway, if Shinji were to pick certain musical compositions or pieces to most relate to - or which ones he likes best -, which pieces would he pick?

We see in canon that if not for classical music, he would have shit taste in music. I mean. "Background Music" and its brethren are the worst. That said, Shinji would likely pick all classical music, mostly pieces with a lot of cello. Bach's Prelude for Cello Suite No. 1 is an obvious pick. Schubert's Arpeggione Sonata for cello and piano sounds like something he'd like too. For some reason, I can see Shinji digging Holst as well.

Kamina loves the summer! It's warm enough to do things outside, there's always plenty of big community events to crash, and he has a legitimate reason not to wear a shirt.

Shinji likes winter. Tokyo-3 was stuck in eternal summer so the novelty of weather being cold with little humidity still hasn't worn off. Snow, in particular, blows his mind. That shit is cray.
