Issei? Issei has gotten more open, more friendly. He's less scared of new people and is more willing to provide any help they need. He's trying to live up to his name as a monk and considers himself as an important part of the community of not just his home, but of all worlds. It's a lot of responsibility.
He's less easily embarrassed - the flailing is still there, but it's harder to trigger it. In fact, he'll sometimes be the one teasing to get a reaction out of someone else. It's fun.
He also has pretty severe insecurity problems, from the way he's been treated by his friends and especially his family, as well as how viruses have affected him. Like with his last thread with Diarmuid, he has trouble understanding why someone as amazing as Diarmuid would want to stay with him. He's always wanted the best for those he falls for - now he just believes that the best is away from him.
He is much less strict on the rules. When it comes to things for himself, or things that don't matter, he will follow the rules. When it comes to helping his friends and loved ones? He doesn't care about the rules: he will pay the consequences for breaking them if it means that he can do some good for them. He understands why they're there, but some things are more important.
