This delightful little place again, is it? I was almost beginning to miss it.

It does at that. Rather like a much less unpleasant kind of mould, if we're being honest.

Some molds can be useful if correctly applied. Hardly unpleasant at all.

How've you been keeping, then?

Remarkably well. The revolution was successful and Bronquia is currently at peace, for the time being.

Ah, so everything's coming up you then? Glad to hear at least one of us is having a good time of things.

I take it things are not so pleasant on your end.

Well, my sister was found murdered and all of her lot of the family seem to be under the misguided but unshakeable impression that I did it, so no, as weeks go this hasn't been a shining example.

Ah.

[There's not much to say about that.] My sympathies go out to you, I hope you weren't close.

[bearslight]

Not particularly. [ he isn't really close to any of his family, which is what comes of being the exile. but Freya... well, they had been close. more than close, once upon a time. ] But she was one of the few that could actually stand to give me the time of day and could still be more or less relied on not to upset the apple cart of Earth and Heaven too much, so she'll be missed.

[ pause, during which he picks up a piece of shattered all and idly examines it. ] I'm going to find out who it really was, because not only do I rather like living myself, it was obviously one of us that did it. [ he seems to be taking mild offence at that. ] And from the looks of things, she stumbled upon something big that someone didn't want her seeing.

[ ow. do watch the old ears, Minatsuki. for his part, he seems genuinely pleased to see her, and actually cracks up into laughter at her greeting. he's a charmer that way. ]

You shouldn't be! What kind of an idiot actually misses this place?!

A particularly bored one, since you asked. Or at least, one who's bored of the usual flavour of drama to be found around his locale. This place's is much less tedious.

[ and by "tedious" he really means "vaguely life-threatening". ]

More or less. We all seem to have stumbled onto a breach between worlds, though why it's chosen to take on the form of a brick wall is completely beyond me.

And everyone's just okay with this? Seriously?! How do we even get out?!

[It's not like he can just get Teddie to make some TVs.]

I wouldn't say stuck. Last time I was here, it fixed itself right up after a while.

In any case, while panicking can be an immensely productive way to spend one's time in certain situations, I don't feel like this is one of them.

Not sure. [ he sounds far too cheerful about this. ] I've often found that Time is relative, no more so than here.

Oh, believe me, I have. [ he grins, and while it's boyish and good-natured as usual, there may be something ever so slightly devilish about it. ] In fact you could say that I am a full-qualified graduate student with a degree in the subject, which means it may be in your best interests to trust me when I say that you really don't need to panic here.

I do hope so. I was in the middle of something rather pressing myself.

[ oh, Yosuke, stop that, you're making the part of them that likes messing with people trump his more natural inclination to help people that don't seem to mean him any harm. ]

It's a 50-50 chance, usually. [ shrug. ] Honestly though, unless I was some sort of terrible super-villain - which as it happens I'm not - you're really fine.

[ cause I mean, really, c'mon. he has a thing for black, but would a super-villain have fashion sense as terrible as Sam's old trainers, patched jacket and well-worn hand-knitted scarf? he only plays the Devil when it suits his chances of survival.

Well, I won't deny that I'm a little on the annoyed side. But since I already know what to expect from this sort of thing and I do like a change of scenery every once in a while, I can put up with it.

[ his eyes sparkle a little with amusement. oh, if only this kid knew how much of a secret identity mode he really was in. in a way that couldn't be taken as anything but a joke: ] Did I mention the shark pit I installed right beneath your feet?
