Retasu came over and sat down. "Minato-san, are you all right?"
He took a breath. "How—How many times did you have to fail, before you finally caught onto everything?"
"It's hard," she assured him.
"I'm trying not to give up," he insisted. "And I'm trying not to let this get me down. But I didn't even get a chance to henshin before that monster attacked. It was just like when I started out. My head went under the water, and I panicked."
"But you still made it," she said.
He was about to argue, but he managed to get a grip on his self-confidence and nodded, finally taking a sip of his coffee.
"You'll get it eventually," she promised. "You're stronger than you think you are."
"I know," he admitted, setting his drink down again. "I guess...I guess I can try the swimming lesson another day, when I'm not as tired from fighting. And I can ask Kougami-san if he has any technology that can help."
"Right," she agreed. "And you have your friends. Just ask, and we'll help."
"Thanks," he said. "But sometimes, I think all I really need is this."
"Talking?"
"Someone to remind me I'm not a failure."
