They were sitting next to each other on a park bench in Kyouko's world. It was probably for the best if they weren't seen in the timeline of the other so the park near the church became a sort of meeting place, as run down as it was. It's quiet--that's all Reiko really worries about.

She leans against the park bench, looking up at the sky. "So, what is it, kiddo?" Reiko asks.

Takashi shifts on the bench. He retrieves a small box from his pocket. He smiles with such innocence that it makes even Reiko's heart twist a little. "It took me a while but...happy birthday, Reiko-san."

It takes her a moment to realize that she's starting to cry at the gesture. She wipes away at her eyes with the back of her hand quickly but by that soft smile she knows that Takashi saw her.
