Test Drive

TEST DRIVE MEME

1. Post a comment with the journal of a character you've considered apping. Make sure to put the name of the character/canon in the subject heading and post a comment as if they're already in the game! It can be a voice post, video or text post; it can either be an intro or a "been there a while" sort of deal. Anything goes!

2. Tag around with others - potential characters or characters who are already in the game - to see how well they fit.

3. Get a better idea of how well they'd work out in game, and app or not app accordingly!

4. Have fun! And we pretty much just mean "app" by that last one, fufufu~

Rita Mordio | Tales of Vesperia (post-game)

So, I have a little dilemma. There's a big celebration in Zaphias tomorrow, and somebody said I should cook up something fun for it. Something flashy, that nobody can miss.

...I can't decide if I want to throw up fireworks over the city in the most extravagant ways I can manage, or if I want to roam the imperial capital riding a wave the whole day. Ooh, or maybe I can shoot fireworks from on top of the wave.

I'm wondering if there isn't something flashier and less obnoxious, though.

[Alternately, if you had CR with her way back when, prod her. I'm updating Rita to post-game, but she's keeping her memories.]

You want flashy, but you don't want flashy?
blahblahblah: (Hold on a second.)

I want flashy, but I don't want people to get too mad at me. The kind of thing people will enjoy enough to not worry too much about the girl behind the curtain, waving her hands and her scarf around like a crazy person.

I guess that makes sense. No one likes to get wet! Brrr.

But why wouldn't people like fireworks? They're big and bright and wonderful!

But why would you be behind a curtain? And why do you need a scarf?
blahblahblah: (No. Just no.)

Yeah, but this world isn't really used to big and bright and wonderful being in the sky above them, yet. Everyone's been too damned worried that it meant the barrier blastia was failing, and then nobody would be happy. But since we don't have blastia anymore, that's not so much an issue.

The curtain's an expression - something about keeping your eyes on the show and not on the people doing things to keep the show running. The scarf is a much longer story.

Blastia? Oh...Mic doesn't know what Blasta are. Are Blasta bad? But they sound cool! Like big guns in the sky! Boom Boom Boom!

Mic can listen to long stories! Mr. Shishio said it was important to practice! It helps Mic's Long. Term. Cognative. Development. and...oh, Mic can't remember the other words. But! It is important to listen to people's stories all the way through, and not interupt, because that's very rude!

Fireworks. Trust me, people are a sucker for fireworks. Sometimes, I think they fought a war just so they could have a whole day dedicated to grills and lights in the sky.
blahblahblah: (Are you an idiot?)

While I understand where you're going, I think that might be a little excessive. War isn't fun for anyone, no matter what comes out of it. And not all nobles are content to sit in their mansions while their subjects die in their names.

...Fireworks seem reasonable, though. I'll have to figure out how to work the spell, but it shouldn't be too bad.

Not something I mean literally but I can tell that might be a sore point for you. Our nobels are more elected officials and sitting back is kind of what they do. Not that that's always a bad thing, since they have other jobs.

Spell. Magic, huh? Never gonna find another world who thinks the superhero thing is cool if all of them turn out to have their own magic.
