Even though they only spoke a few times, Shinji's made an impression fast on Nill. Since when they met, she was in a pretty bad state, she's seen first-hand that Shinji is a wonderfully nice and caring person. Also, since he seems like a bit of a quieter, shy person, she wants to help draw him out of what shell he might have left a little and become good friends with him, but she won't take any obvious action to do this -- she'll try to be a bit more talkative with him, try to be smarter so that she can hold a better conversation, but everything she does to try and help get rid of that timidness will be little things; she doesn't want to be pushed away, because it would absolutely tear her up.

She wants to know more about him, and wants to be there for him no matter what. ♥

She also feels completely useless about not even being able to try and do anything but sit there and worry and cry when his world was ending (as will be made evident when Kaworu is also back |Db).
