At this point for me it's between Kyon and Bourne, and I'm...actually going to have to go with Bourne. I adore Kyon's snark and my canonmates (and others he talks to) are astounding. But. There's, well, more to explore with Bourne. He's got such interesting issues, and such an interesting background to work with. He's got all these fascinating little facets. For example, while it doesn't come up much in this setting, I love that he's very comfortable and convincing, charming even, when he's pretending to be other people, but is very awkward when he's just himself, he's not used to it. And I'm not sure why, but I always have a lot of fun playing socially awkward characters, so him being himself and thus awkward all the time around here does actually suit me. And he's really just basically a good guy. Adorably sweet, even, at times. Who can also beat the crap out of you with items found in your bathroom. Have I mentioned how much I love his issues? I really love those issues. Also, the crack relationships he's formed here amuse me to no end.
Of course, another factor is that in spite of all logic, Bourne comes more naturally. There are times when I really just can't play Kyon, I almost never have those times with Bourne. ...Which is slightly disturbing, but there you are.
I can totally sympathize. I can only tag with Mikaela consistently for so long before I get, like, a mental block, but I'm up for playing Blackout all the time.
Yeah, I run into this with most of mine, but not Bourne. And with, say, Kyon, if I start tagging with him but feel like I'm getting off on the wrong foot, I can't go on. I don't seem to have that problem much with Bourne, if at all.
The only times I have that problem with Blackout are when I'm going into unexplored territory in terms of Cybertronian or even just, like...computer babble. XD; And that's obviously my own ignorance, not any character block.
Haha, yeah. I hit the "dammit I don't know as much as Bourne about this country/language" block on occasion. (I had the computer problem a lot with Orlando. >.>)
