What is Lilith's origin story? Beyond her being a cruznik, is she originally from India, where did she learn to do henna, ect?

Lilith was originally made in a lab in Calcutta, India. She was a prototype for the Red Mars Project, which means Abel, Cain, and Seth were modeled after her DNA but, have no blood relation to her or each other minus Cain and Abel being each other's clones. Basically, she is a superhuman being before the crusnik came into play. She ages (well when she did age. Crusnik prevents people from aging I think.) at an incredibly slow rate, cannot get sick, Olympic level speed, strength, endurance, etc.

There is no canon reason for how she knows henna but, I believe some of her caretakers in India taught her. Whoever they were, I imagine they were a little more gentle towards Lilith than the scientists she would meet later on with her siblings that just viewed them as tools to be discarded at any point. She was trained to be a doctor and was likely the greatest one of her time, possibly of all time considering it is canon she had these skills as a child since in Throne of Roses flashback she is depicted as being a young teen (somewhere around 12-15) holding a medical chart as you can see in my icon. Her military ranking was that of a Lieutenant, bellow Seth, Cain, and Abel. I imagine it has to do with her pacifism. After all, you wouldn't put someone in the military who refuses to kill in a position of power.

Is there anything else you would like to know?

Does she ever feel weird being older than all of the other crusniks? How did she come to love Able so much?

No it feels natural to her. She always has been an assumed mother figure for Cain, Seth, and Abel.

As far as Abel goes, I believe it was a gradual thing. He always came to Lilith for healing and comfort. They grew close through these encounters. It's like she told Azula once, 'I am drawn to people like you'. She always goes toward wounded people and tries to save them. It just so happens that Abel was a wounded soul that completed hers.

So she enjoys helping people?

That's really sweet!

Oh yes. The children of the Mars Colonization Project were created to save humanity from their problems by colonizing Mars. Lilith took this duty very seriously whereas Cain (secretly), Abel, and Seth resented it. A large part of the reason she is so willingly to forgive humanity for using her and her family was because it is drilled into her very being she is to save humans. The rest of it she is just really that nice a person.

What changed Abel and Seth's opinions of humanity? Was it Lilith's example?

Yes. Lilith was winning the war (Cain/Seth/Abel/Methuselah vs. Lilith/The Vatican/Methuselah who wanted to protect humans) but, that wasn't enough of for her. Even if she won, there would still be hatred on both sides. Lilith decided to martyr herself in the hopes it would wake up Abel and Seth and the gamble paid off. Seeing her dead by Cain's woke them up. They realized they never wanted to kill humans. They were hurt and angry but, it wasn't worth losing Lilith. Obviously we all know what happens after that.
