we all live in a pokemon woooorld

fml this is all indirectly Styx's fault, and also indirectly Jisu and Andy's fault.

the POKÉMON meme
( i'm gonna be the greatest master of them all )

so. we have memes about "what kind of Pokemon are you?", but this one is a little different.
tell us (and discuss with others!) what your characters would be like if they lived in a Pokemon world. what types do they train? what do they specialise in?
not everyone is your average trainer! there are Gym Leaders, Elite members, contest coordinators, etc. and even just those average people who don't care for Pokemon - or are absolutely terrified of them.
there are lots of other interesting facts you could share! maybe they travel with someone else, or maybe there's an interesting bit of history you want to inculde? whatever you'd like! feel free to comment around and create some sort of... huge group of trainers that travel together. or find yourself a rival!
ladies, don't show Kaito your panties.

Arthur couldn't believe it.

He honestly couldn't believe it.

Terra had actually managed to sneak off. She had actually managed to sneak off and meet up with one of the boys (as much as he hated it, there'd been more than one) that she'd exchanged Pokenav numbers with. All they'd been doing was stopping off in Goldenrod City for supplies; they'd gone their separate ways in the department store as usual and agreed to meet up in fifteen minutes when they had what they needed.

It had been half an hour, she wasn't back, and so he'd gone looking for her. And, just as he'd expected, found her on the top floor sharing lunch with a quiet, serious-looking trainer that he remembered her battling quite some time ago.

She'd won, as well, if he remembered rightly.

Scowling, he strode over to the table and grabbed his little sister by the arm, hoisting her to her feet.

"Oi! What the bleedin' heck's that for?" she said indignantly, with a scowl to match his. Her Pikachu glowered at him, its cheeks sparking, and his Ivysaur stepped forward warningly.

"You're half an hour late," he said icily. "What was I supposed to think, Terra? For all I knew you could have been on the Magnet Train and half way to Saffron City by now and I wouldn't be any the wiser!"

"'Cept I'm not, am I?" she said, struggling to wrench her arm out of his grip, while the boy she'd been eating with - Kiku, had his name been? - watched nervously, as if he wasn't sure whether he should speak or not. "Let go of me, y'bloody boofhead!"

He did so, and folded his arms. "No, you're not," he relented, "but you are running off and meeting up with people that you hardly know." His eyes flicked over to the trainer still sitting at the table, who seemed to sink a little in his chair.

"It's just a date, Arthur, crikey," she said irritably. "S'not like he's gonna nick my Pokemon and cart me off somewhere."

Yes, it's the date that's the problem, he thought churlishly. "And we're supposed to know that how?"

"If I may intrude," the trainer sitting at the table said politely. The two of them started and turned to look at him, their bickering suddenly forgotten. "I quite honestly do not have any ill intentions towards your sister. I simply wish to get to know her a little better, if that is acceptable to you."

"See!" Terra said triumphantly, but Arthur shushed her. He scrutinised the other trainer for a moment. He did seem sincere, but...

Ivysaur nudged his foot, and he looked down to find his mouth curved up in a smirk. Well, there was an idea.

"Alright," he said slowly. "You can date my sister if you like, on one condition." He smirked and exchanged a glance with his Pokemon. "Beat me in a Pokemon battle, and I'll let you date her, arrange to meet up wherever, no arguments." His smirk widened. "If you can beat me, that is."

Terra's jaw dropped. "Wait a sec --" she started, but the other trainer cut across her.

"I accept your challenge," he said, rising to his feet with a small bow. "It's only natural that you wish to protect your sister; if I have to prove myself, so be it." He surveyed Arthur through oddly glassy, serious eyes. "I will not hold back."

"I wouldn't expect you to," Arthur snorted, "Not if it's my sister you're fighting for."

Oh, this was going to be fun.
