Japanese, so you got the Asia part right. You're American, correct? Marti is definitely something you don't hear in Japan.

[He'll glance to the other side of the wall, as well. Huh...]

[Nothing, as far as she could tell. That made no sense.]

It's not something you hear a lot in America, either. Not for a girl, anyway.

[He sighed. Well, isn't this a bit disappointing. He stood straight up, and began to tap his foot on the brick wall. Not exactly soft up here...]

Eh? It's not? Well, not like I would know. I'm not well versed in American culture, anyways.

I can't say I know a lot about Japan. What's it like?

Well, I wouldn't know where to begin with it. It just depends on how we look at it.

I guess you could say we're more traditional then most places, with a lot of festivals for different dates. And...I guess the girls give the boys chocolate here? Does that happen in America?

Valentine's day? It's usually more of a holiday for a guy to score points with his girlfriend or for society to try to make single girls feel like they should have one but, yeah, sometimes girls give stuff too.

Well, we have a Valentine's Day here, which is...like you said. [Though how she described it made his face crinkle up a bit.] But White Day is where the girls give the guys stuff. It's nice, though, to see people spend the day with their loved one.

So spend the other 364 days with them too. I'm not against the day but I'll never understand why we have to make special days to remember how we're supposed to act.

Well, yeah, that too. I never really understand it myself. [He coughs a bit awkwardly.] Eh, I'll never really understand love myself anyways. I'm not exactly a sort of "romantic".

Nobody understands it. If they did, we would have a lot less country songs.

Oh...sorry. Guess that doesn't make a lot of sense to a Japanese boy. Do...they have country music there?

[A nervous laugh came out of him as she said that.]

Nah, I have no clue what in the world that is. Must be something only you guys have. Either way, I can't be bothered with love. It's too tiresome.

Hang in there and one day, you'll find a girl you can be tired of it with.

Nah, I'd rather not think about it for now. After all, we have this stupid wall to deal with. [His foot tapping grows louder.]

You're plan is to bring it down with your foot?

It's just me being annoyed, is all. Like I'm really strong enough to do something like that. [He's about ready to just jump down from the stupid thing.]

[Getting off the wall? It looks like Marti might have the same idea, swinging the other foot to join the first.]

[He lets out a chuckle before nodding. The drop didn't look so bad. Sitting down, he inches himself closer to the edge before dropping. Of course, the impact of landing gets to him as he stumbles a bit.]

Alright! Good thing I didn't break anything.

[She sticks the landing beside him.]

Not bad. A crutch would definitely slow down the next plan.

Right, what would be the next plan, seeing as how up there it was...

Think we can find a hammer around here somewhere?

How much did you look after you saw the wall?

...admittedly, not a whole lot. But...I don't know what the distraction would be.
